I live completely debt free and have no worries about "interest rates". By the way, if you want that saftey cushion of "extra cash", then here is how to do it. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Use their card and their money to buy necessities, and then pay if off. The theory being, that the longer you can keep your money? in something like a savings account, the more potential interest you can make.
